Chapter Honorary Alliance of Spellcasters

Claninfo  »  Joining

Level and Class requirement:
{chaos} is by theme a spellcaster clan, and as such, at a minimum, we expect new recruits to have more spellcaster than melee classes played.  Based on that, minimum joining requirements are set at T0R3L200 (the completion of 3rd remort).

Other Requirements:

  • You must have earned a minimum of 5,000 quest points.
  • You must have explored at least 25% of Aardwolf.
  • You must have a minimum of 3,500 mobs killed.
  • You must have a minimum of 300 hours online.

  • If a current member of  {chaos} is willing to sponsor your application, then only 3 of the 4 requirements must be met.  You must name your sponsor in your application, so that leadership can reach out to them for additional information.
  • You may not be a member of another clan during the application process.
  • You may not have applied to another clan during the application process.
  • You may not be a loner or an outcast during the application process.

If you meet the above requirements, you can start writing your application. Your application will be your first impression with the clan, so please take your time with it. While an obvious typo can be excused, "l33t" speak, texting shortcuts, and the like will be frown upon heavily.

To apply:
Write a note to chaos on the personal board during the monthly application window.

What that note should contain:

  • A basic introduction of yourself:

  1. Character name, race, classes, how long you have been playing Aardwolf, previous clans (if any), alts, and what interests you in  {chaos}.
  2. The times you are usually online (please format in mudtime), as well as your email address if it is not in your finger information.
  3. Any friends or family that you have in  {chaos} already.
  • A  leader will review your application and reply with either approval or rejection upon the closing of the doors on the 7th.
  • If your application is approved  you will begin the interview process.

Interview Process:

  • Applications are accepted from the 1st-7th of each month.
  • All incoming applications are reviewed and each applicant will be notified as to their acceptance or rejection.
  • An initial leader interview will be conducted.
  • A leader task will be assigned at the conclusion of that interview, and must be completed within 3 days.
  • Interviews will be opened up to the clan population after the task is complete, and you may be contacted by or contact any regular clan member (not a leader) for 5 days  for interviews.
  • Final leader interviews will be conducted the final week, beginning on the 23rd and moving through the end of the month.
  • Inductions for approved members will occur during this final week.
  • Letters of rejection will be issued prior to the 1st of the new month.
  • Guidelines to follow:
  1. Read up on the website.  Read up on the rules.  Know the rules of Aardwolf, as well as those of  {chaos}, and follow them diligently.
  2. Don't make an ass out of yourself.
  3. Allow yourself enough time to attend an interview.  An interview can last anywhere from 30-60 minutes, and your 100% attention is required.
  4. If your application is rejected, you may reapply in 3 months.

Are applications open?
Yes, from the 1st-7th of each month.

Do I have to be a mighty tier to join?

Is whining over getting PK'd/losing a GQ or a war allowed?

Do I have to be a hardcore PKer?
PK is a part of being in a PK clan.  If you are interested in joining  {chaos}, you must understand that PK is a part of our life.  It will eventually happen, whether you like it or not.  If you don't like PK, and can't accept that sometimes it happens, then a PK clan probably isn't the right place for you.  For those bloodthirsty players who thrive on PK, the Black Robes could be just the right fit for you.

What's expected of me?
Play your character with honor, and follow the rules listed.

What can I expect in return?
Our general vibe is one of openness, freedom, and good spirits.  There are a few other perks, but don't join for those.  Join  {chaos} (or any clan) for the people and the environment that makes you happy.

How do I get promoted?
We use a point based system, referred to as Spell Points. Points are awarded on a monthly basis, and tend to revolve around things that improve your character and/or benefit the clan. Special Milestones are also awarded Spell Points. The breadth of awards is such that it doesn't mandate that you play your character a specific way, but does reward active players faster than inactive players.
